  • Actually Native Place is a place where from (PIO) Person of Indian Origin belongs, i.e. place where his/her forefathers where originally lived. It may be his/her Place of Birth of where from his/her forefathers were holding property, such as Residential house or Agriculture land.
  • Nativity Certificate is a document which is issued by The District collector & Magistrate of the concerned District to the (PIO) Person of Indian Origin for the documentary proof confirming that he/she is PIO. And also Nativity Certificate is a document for PIO in lieu of other Indian Originality proof.
  • In general Nativity comes from parental side. But for OCI purpose if PIO do not hold Indian documents from parental side to apply for nativity Certificate, he/she can also submit Indian documents from his/her Maternal side with proper connectivity.
  • Applicant who wants Nativity Certificate has to apply from the Native District of his/her Parents/Grandparents of their Native State in India.
  • The Nativity Certificate is issued by The District Collector & District Magistrate’s Office from his/her Native District Only.
  • Current Passport (Name, Photo & Number Page)
  • Birth Certificate of the Applicant.
  • Certificate of Registration/Naturalization of the Applicant.
  • Parents/Grandparents documents such as Passport, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Birth Date Certificate or any Ancestral Agricultural Property Card (7 & 12 or 8 – A), Ancestral Residential Property Card.
  • Local Residential Address of the Native District from where his/her Parents/Grandparents belonged. Other documents depending on the particular Cases.
  • An application in the prescribed form before The District Collector& /Magistrate of the concern native place in India by applicant only.
  • With the application one set of all the documents duly attested by notary/gazetted officer and 6 passport size photos have to submit.
  • Applicant has to be present before The Taluka Mamlatdar in person with all the original documents as when called for verification.
  • Normally the whole process takes total 90 days from the date of proper application.
  • An authorised person can collect Nativity Certificate.

Those who want to apply for Nativity Certificate are required to go through following details and then after have to submit copies of documents to us with all required details {By Email in PDF Format}. In absence of required documents and details we will be unable to reply properly.

    (i) SELF: - (APPLICANT)
  • Copy of Current Passport.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate.
  • Copy of Nationality Registration or Naturalization Certificate if any.
  • Marriage Certificate if any.
  • School Leaving Certificate if studied in India.
    (ii) PARENTS/GRANDPARENTS
  • Father’s British Colony Issued Passport 1st, 2nd & 3rd Pages and any other details pertaining to him which can show his Indian Originality.
  • Mother’s British Colony Issued Passport 1st, 2nd & 3rd Pages and any other details pertaining to her which can show her Indian Originality.
  • Parents School Leaving Certificate, if any.
  • Parents Birth Certificate if any.
  • Parents or Grandparents (Both Paternal & Maternal Sides) Ancestral Agricultural Land documents such as 7/12 and 8 A.
  • Parents or Grandparents (Both Paternal & Maternal Sides) Ancestral Residential House Property documents i.e. City Survey Property or Rule Card.
    Regarding Local Relative/Friend

    Before Applying for Nativity Certificate Applicant has to give complete details of his/her relative with their local, taluka or district place.

  • Name in full.
  • Address with documentary proof such as Electric Bill, & any Photo Id Card & Mobile No.
  • Local Representative has to be present in person before the Taluka Mamlatdar with two witnesses and their photo ID Cards, to reply that he knows the Applicant or his parents.
    Nativity Certificate Application & Documents for Filling the Case at Respective Native District

    All Applicants staying abroad has to send following documents by post or courier

  • Current Passport Copy duly attested by Local Notary.
  • True Copy of Birth Certificate.
  • Application form & Authority letter after signing.
  • Total 16 Photographs (2” x 2” of Size)

A Person of Indian Origin who is born in Gujarat, India and is in need of his/her Own Birth Certificate or his/her India (Gujarat) born Parents/Grandparents or Great Grandparents Birth Certificates as per their British Colony issued Passports are required to send us Copies of the following documents by email on info@aakash.co.in in PDF Format only. [When birth is not registered or not available under uncontrollable circumstances (i.e. damaged or lost due to Fire, Heavy Rain, Flood, Insect – (ઉધઈ) at the birth place]

We will reply for its possibility and process of its procurement from the concern Birth & Death Registrar of his/her Birth Place through respective Order of The Hon. Court.

    Documents to be send are as follows
  • Copies of British Colony issued Passport (First Three Pages) of the Person of whom Birth Certificate is required.
  • Copies of Passports & Birth Certificate of a Person (Applicant) who wants to apply for Birth Certificate, either of Father/Mother/Grandparents or Great Grandparents.
  • Copies of Birth Certificate, British Colony issued Passport & Certificate of Marriage of Parents/Grandparents or Great Grandparents showing connectivity of direct relation.
  • There must be proper connectivity of the Applicant and person of whom Birth Certificate is required.
  • Regarding Local Relative/Friend: -

    Before Applying for Birth Certificate Applicant has to give complete details of his/her relative with their local, taluka or District place.

    • Name in full.
    • Address with documentary proof such as Electric Bill, & any Photo Id Card & Mobile No.

This service is available only within Gujarat State only.
